Promotions took place on Feb. 25, 2007 at the Toshikai Dojo in Ottawa, On.

Congratulations to the following people:

Rod Berek to Gokyu
J-F Sauriol to Gokyu
Jack Lafleur to Ikkyu
Tanya Lemaire to Ikkyu

During the testing, we had a special guest come watch: Sensei Mike Templeton. For those who do not know Sensei Mike, he works for the RCMP and was involved in a near fatal shooting five years in Manitoba. Sensei Mike is still walking around with two (count them TWO) bullets in his head. Now that is what I would call TOUGH. It was great to renew an old friendship that started nearly 20 years ago in Brandon, MB.
