Another great showing from the Cookstown, ON Isshinryu Dojo!

The Hall of Fame is an annual tournament that includes Isshinryu Karateka from all associations and of all levels. This year it was held in Gatlinburg, Tennessee and was attended by over 400 competitors.

The Canadian team brought back 12 trophies, and the Cookstown team brought back 4 Trophies.

Adam Mollica, who is 13 years old is a White Belt from Alliston, competing in only his second tournament against over 12 competitors and placed in second place, he competed in the 13-15 year old Junior Boys division in Kumite, losing only his last match by one point.

Samantha Bottrell, is a 13 years old Orange Belt from Thornton, she competed in the 13-15 year old Junior Girls Kumite, Sam fought 3 tough matches against seasoned 15 year old girls and placed in 4th place.

Shannon Bottrell is an 11 years old Orange Belt also from Thornton, she competed in the 11-12 year old Boys and Girls Intermediate division in Kumite and received 4th place after 3 grueling matches against some boys that were twice her size.

Amanda Makivirta is a 16 year old from Cookstown she is a 3 rd degree Brown Belt with over 12 years of Karate experience, she competed in the 16-17 year old Super Juniors Division in Kumite and received 4 th place by default by disqualification due to contact.
